Happy New Year! 2017 is finally here! Is it all you imagined it to be thus far? In November and December we had guest bloggers talk to us about our health and well being as it relates to our diets, disease, stress, and goal setting. Did you do anything with that information? Did you make changes or resolutions about what 2017 will look like for you and your family?
A new year seemingly brings about a clean slate and a fresh start. Sometimes we exhale when the clock switches over from one year to the next because we’ve experienced so much in a year that we just want to feel some type of relief. If that’s you, your relief is here in the form of a new year! Life happens, but so much of how we do life has to with our reactions. Challenges will come, its only a matter of time. So what happens when challenges come your way this year? Prepare yourself to respond rather than react to the pressures of life. Prepare with a plan for success. What decisions will you make regarding your health, well being, and relationships? Take some time to reflect and write out vision points for your life for 2017.
CHALLENGE: Walk through the year in your mind to get a vision for 2017. Develop a vision statement or points that speak to the future of how you want your life to look. Let that vision guide your decisions and the development of this year’s goals.
Resources: The new year sometimes brings with it a desire to know why you’re here on earth and what you’re called to do. A great resource to help you discover your purpose is Rick Warren’s book, Purpose Driven Life. This 40 day journey can be done with a spouse, friend, or your teenager. It is a life changing journey! http://purposedriven.com/books/pdlbook/#purpose
